Mental performance coaching for gymnasts
StrongMind
Stronger performance.
The skill is already in your body. Fear, hesitation, and the noise of a competition floor are what stand between the training you have done and the routine you hit. That is trainable too — and that is the work we do here.

What we work on
Three moves, run in order
- 01
Name the mechanism
A block is not a character flaw. It is a nervous system doing exactly what it was built to do. We map what fires, when it fires, and what it is protecting — so it stops feeling random.
- 02
Build the routine
Pre-skill, pre-rotation, pre-meet. You leave with a written sequence you can run in the corner of a floor mat, not a set of vague advice about staying positive.
- 03
Rehearse under load
Imagery, graded exposure, and pressure training so the routine holds when the gym is loud, the judge is watching, and it counts.

What’s includedKamryn Attanasio, LMSW

“Life is full of change — whether that’s in the classroom, the workforce, or out on the field. I’m excited to support you through finding your path.”
Kamryn works with gymnasts, their families, and their coaches on the parts of the sport that never show up in a conditioning plan: the skill that suddenly will not go, the meet that keeps replaying, the year the body changes faster than the routine does.
Her practice draws on sports performance work alongside training in anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, and trauma — which matters, because a mental block is rarely just about the skill. Sessions are direct, practical, and built around what happens next week in the gym, not around abstractions.
She sees athletes virtually across the country and in person in Nashville, and offers a free 15-minute consult before anyone commits to a tier.
Next step
The skill is there. Let's go get it.
Start with a free 15-minute consult. We talk through what is happening in the gym, and you leave knowing whether this is the right fit — no commitment either way.
